Midwest YouTube Gathering '09 (in Milwaukee)

Yesterday I decided that I'm going to take on organizing a YouTube gathering in Milwaukee for 2009. What I have in mind currently is doing something during [Summerfest] which will run from June 25th-July 5th 2009. It might be pretty badass to do like a four day event from the day Summerfest opens to Sunday the 28th.

If you didn't check the link, Summerfest is this ULTRA BAD ASS music festival with tons of music and beer! (Yay!)

I'm talking about doing something large with sponsors and whatnot. I'm also going to try to get the City of Milwaukee involved (I got all the right connections to pull off something epic :) ).

What I'm basically thinking is organizing something that would show off a bunch of cool stuff around the city. So tours of [The Art Museum], [Discovery World], [The Public Museum and IMAX Theater], etc. (I'll let the tourism dudes figure that stuff out).

I would also get some VIP clubbing type stuff organized with a couple of the night clubs in the city.

On top of all of this I should be able to pull off cheap accommodations downtown for the frugal traveler, by getting [Bucketworks] involved and also adding like a 3 day "YouTube Camp" so people could crash there (with sleeping bags and whatnot), do collabs and all that sort of thing.

If anyone has any other thoughts to add just throw'em at me.
